I've scored music for the cirkus for years, and wrote this for the Bindlestiff Quarantine Show, which was screened on Zoom.

Can’t wait to see all the acrobats fly
For when they trapeze through the air
my heart, it hasn’t a care
and miracles happen, in the blink of an eye

I can’t wait to see all the juggler’s juggling
to see painted clowns with their twinkling eyes
For you know, it’s been awhile
I’m longing to laugh and to smile
back at the circus, performing for me

How does she balance so high on the tighter
How does he swallow a sword and not die
Look out, the ringmaster’s back in the spotlight
Quietly wielding her whip
I hope the rose doesn’t slip

I know that the tents, they are silently waiting
to be filled up, with audiences full of glee
And although we are apart
the circus, lives in my heart
and the circus
