lyrics

Dear R,

It’s Friday night. And it’s raining. J’s out working. Don’t wanna tell you where. I got some Chinese food from the place downstairs, but I don’t wanna eat it. The neon light from their sign comes in through the
window, and it’s flickering. Makes me sick. J’s doing all these things I don’t understand. Hanging out with all these people from work, not telling me where she is. She says I’m acting like her mom, but truth is I’m just
worried. When we got here, she was all beautiful and open, but now it’s like something’s locked deep inside her, and she can’t get it out. Sometimes I wake up at night and she’s crying. I try and make her feel ok, but that just makes it worse. I don’t know what to do anymore.
